Preparing for the trip

Right now we are just in the planning stage--collecting maps, AAA tour books, etc. We are trying to keep our dog, Sam, from eating our planning materials. He will NOT be going along on the expedition.
Every day I read from the Lewis & Clark journals and "Undaunted Courage" for inspiration.
